Welcome to the ambiente hotel
The family-run hotel in Dortmund's quietest location
Yes, we are not centrally located in Dortmund's city center, but we are in what is probably Dortmund's quietest location, directly opposite Dortmund's main cemetery, which is one of the most beautiful cemeteries in Germany and has been landscaped like a park and the Dortmund horse track. Many guests enjoy a morning run there before enjoying our breakfast buffet. We are not the largest hotel in the city, but we do have 36 spacious rooms, all of which offer a high level of sleeping comfort. In the evening, you can enjoy a cool Dortmund beer , called a “Pils” or a glass of wine at our bar, or a small snack. Soon we will also invite you to our in-house, family-run restaurant, the only one in the city where a Japanese sushi master and his team will spoil our guests.
Our hotel, which has been family-run for over 20 years, is just a few minutes' drive from all of Dortmund's main attractions, whether you're interested in art, culture, the German football museum, or, of course, the games of Borussia Dortmund (BVB). You can enjoy a peaceful stay with us and conveniently park your car right in front of our hotel in our free parking spaces. If you have an electric car, no problem - four DEW21 hyperchargers (bookable via app or charging card) are available 24/7 for you.
The new business hotspot Stadtkrone Ost, home to companies such as ADAC, Adesso, AOK, Continentale Insurance, Prismat, Husemann & Partner, ThyssenKrupp Nucera, and Zalando, is also in the immediate vicinity and can be reached on foot.
For all football fans, the Signal Iduna Park, better known to fans as Westfalenstadion, is only 12 minutes away by car and, on match days, can be easily reached by subway (18 minutes) by taxi or an Uber from our hotel. You can park your car for free in front of our hotel and enjoy a ice-cold Dortmund Brinkhoff´s Pilsner before the game at our hotel bar.
In terms of transport, we are located in the immediate vicinity of the B1, which takes you quickly to the A40 (towards Bochum/Essen/Düsseldorf) and the A1 (towards Bremen/Cologne), or via the B236 to the A2 (towards Hanover/Duisburg) or via the B54 to the A45 (towards Hagen and Frankfurt am Main).
